Notice: Qirtas is currently in a testing phase and is not yet published on Google Play or the Microsoft Store. For that reason Android and Windows show a warning before installing. This is expected and does not mean the file is damaged. Download the files from this page only (qirtas.namari8.com), and do not install a file with the same name from any other source.

Browser (web version)

No installation: Qirtas runs in your browser, and your boards are stored encrypted in this device's browser only and are not sent to any server. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so export a backup regularly. Not available in the web version: cloud saving, sharing by QR code, handwriting recognition, and converting Office files.

Scan the code with your phone camera to start downloading the installer directly. If the browser opens without starting the download, tap the download button. The file is fairly large, so Wi-Fi is recommended.

Installation steps and fixes
  1. After downloading, the browser may warn that this type of file can harm your device. Choose "Keep" or "Download anyway".
  2. Open the file from the download notification or the Files app. If a message says your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source, tap "Settings" and turn on "Allow from this source" for the browser you downloaded with, then go back and tap "Install".
  3. If Google Play Protect shows a warning (such as "Unknown app" or "App blocked to protect your device"), tap "More details" and then "Install anyway". It appears because the app is not yet distributed through the store.
  4. On Samsung phones the "Auto Blocker" feature may block installs from outside the stores. Turn it off temporarily from Settings, Security and privacy, Auto Blocker, and turn it back on after installing.
  5. If you see "App not installed" and an older copy of Qirtas is on your phone, uninstall it and install again.
  6. If the app closes itself on opening or refuses to run, make sure Developer options and USB debugging are off and that the device is not rooted or an emulator, because the app refuses to run there to protect your data.

Installation steps and fixes
  1. Edge or Chrome may say the file is not commonly downloaded or cannot be verified. Open the downloads menu (⋯), choose "Keep", then "Keep anyway".
  2. Run the file. If the blue "Windows protected your PC" window (SmartScreen) appears, click "More info" and then "Run anyway". It appears because the app is new and its publisher is not yet recognised by Microsoft.
  3. Installation does not need administrator rights; it installs the app for the current Windows user.
  4. If your antivirus blocks the file, first check its integrity with the fingerprint below, then allow it.
  5. On Windows 11, "Smart App Control" may block unrecognised apps with no "Run anyway" option. It can be turned off from Windows Security, App & browser control, Smart App Control settings, and in some versions it cannot be turned back on later.
  6. Computers managed by an organisation (a university or a company) may block installing unknown programs. In that case contact your system administrator.
